Muzzikanti is the film full of songs and tunes based on the folk roots and contemporary young rock. Its story is set in the borders of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland – in a rough, but scenic countryside of Cieszyn Silesia, where there a word of a man still has its strength, glamour of women attracts since time immemorial and the music is irreplaceable. Los requisitos ciertamente estaban aquí: un experimentado director eslovaco, un elenco fuerte de Europa Central y un tema musical agradecido. El resultado es desafortunadamente bastante malo. Petr Šiška puede ser un hombre de muchas profesiones, pero escribir guiones no será uno de sus puntos fuertes. La historia no vale la pena un comino, es una mezcla caótica de números musicales más o menos exitosos, escenas fallidas de nuestras pseudocelebridades y cuerpos expuestos de Michalina y Sára. Una estrella por Michalina, cuyo inmenso talento es una lástima en esta tontería, y otra estrella por la composición musical bastante buena.

The script, direction and acting are not up to much, but thanks to the quite passable music, shots of the beautiful landscape of Silesia and the decent acting of Patrik Děrgel, it is still somehow livable through. I just was disappointed that Patrik didn't actually do any singing himself. He could certainly have managed, although perhaps not as well as Peter Cmorik. (40%)
