Una extraña mezcla de fascinantes y brillantes tomas de lava y erupciones volcánicas con diálogos religiosos y político-ideológicos, a veces interesantes pero en su mayoría inconexos y aburridos, con personas de las comunidades y culturas que viven cerca de ellas. Y este último ocupa el 80% del metraje.
