Sinopsis(1)

Join Barbie and her sisters Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea as they go on an adventure to a tropical island where Ken is doing a marine biology internship. While snorkelling, they discover a young dolphin trapped in an enclosure—but this isn’t just any dolphin, it’s a beautiful bright green Gemstone Dolphin! Barbie then meets a mysterious friend named Isla, who turns out to be a magical mermaid! Soon after, the girls discover that the dolphin is being held by Marlo, the biologist Ken is interning with. Her intentions are to make money by exhibiting the dolphin for its unique traits. They must work together to free the dolphin so he can be reunited with his Gemstone Dolphin family before Marlo sends him away. (Universal Pictures UK)

inglés It's taken a few years, but I've pretty much accepted that all the Barbie movies and TV shows have been taken over by the Dreamhouse Adventures universe. Barbie is on her own, the important thing is her family, three little sisters, Ken must always be there... Barbie is no longer the ideal protagonist of fairy tale or fantasy films, because Barbie is instead the head of a modern American family, like so many others we know from sitcoms of all kinds. Every now and then she experiences something interesting on the road, among the animals, on an island, meets a princess, attends an interesting course, etc. But the magic is definitely gone. Barbie movies that are so down-to-earth that they deal with social networks can't win me over anymore. For the new generation, they are probably harmless, entertaining, and educational enough, but there are no higher standards. ()
