El profesor Erol Erin, un genetista de semillas, vive en una ciudad protegida por paredes magnéticas donde viven inmigrantes étnicos. Por razones desconocidas, las plantaciones agrícolas de la ciudad se ven afectadas por una crisis genética. En una reunión en el centro de Novus Vita, la agencia que lo emplea, Erol escucha el nombre del Dr. Cemil Akman, quien escribe una tesis sobre las crisis que afectan a las semillas genéticamente modificadas, y se dispone a encontrarlo. From the two or three Turkish films I usually see a year, I always get the impression that this country suffers from a rare combination of artistic inauthenticity and isolation. This here Grain, for example, comes across as the project of someone who saw the complete Tarkovsky in the 80s and then no other films for forty years. The result is, of course, a complete mess with occasional departures to Jaroslav Dušek.
