Szováthy Éva

1848. Szováthy Éva, the celebrated Viennese beauty, and Dóczy Lénárd love each other, but the young man leaves Vienna due to the revolutionary events. Éva follows her love to Nagydóc, but the daughter of the Emperor's chamberlain is not very much welcome in the manor-house of the patriotic Dóczy family, where the engagement of Lénárd and Girálthy Eszter is being held. Éva prepares to take revenge on Lénárd together with general Ungnád. Yet when her lover, fighting against the imperial troops, is wounded, she hides him and when he gets into prison, she tries to set him free. But the young man chooses heroic death instead.
