Un día de julio de 1982 André Bamberski se entera de la muerte de su hija de 14 años, Kalinka, quien estaba de vacaciones en Alemania con su madre y su padrastro, el Dr. Krombach. Rápidamente, las circunstancias de su muerte parecen sospechosas, pues la actitud del padrastro y una autopsia dudosa dejan muchas preguntas sin respuesta. Convencido de la culpabilidad de Krombach, André inicia un combate para desestabilizarlo. Una lucha de 30 años que se convertirá en la obsesión de su vida. (Nueva Era Films)

Jasné poučení, když člověk tápe a vybírá si stále horší a horší filmy, stačí sáhnout po něčem francouzském a ideálně s úžasným Danielem a hned je z toho plný počet, resp. čtyři hvězdičky a jedna navíc za jeho excelentní a naprosto uvěřitelný výkon o zarputilosti otce, jenž obětuje vše, aby dosáhl spravedlnosti a vnitřního klidu a smíření. Sluší se neopomenout rovněž výtečného Kocha a Croze.

Even though the story is based on a true event, it's a powerful narrative, and the creators managed to convey the strength of this story into the film. Sure, I like it because it's essentially a revenge movie, even though everything remains within the bounds of not fundamentally overstepping justice on the part of the avenger. But sometimes it pays to go after justice, even though it can take almost 30 years.
