When a hack is unleashed on a German bank, cyber-crimes investigator Lisa Metz (Anna Schumacher) gets sent to Timisoara, a city in Romania, where the hack seems to have originated. Lisa is a German from the original German community in Romania, though she's lived in Germany for most of her life. This journey will have her come to grips with her family's murky past, as well as the culture clash she's reminded of every step of the way. Another, more pressing challenge for Lisa is finding a way to get along with her laid-back partner, Timisoara PD officer Adam Sandor (Andi Vasluianu). He has a very different mindset which she finds quite annoying... and the feeling is mutual. But, annoyance can sometimes give way to attraction, and, as the two cops get embroiled in a high-octane hunt, they grow close on the back of the need to save an unlikely target: the savvy but vulnerable 14-year-old gamer Cipi (newcomer Voicu Dumitras).
