inglés A crazy Brazilian satire that draws on the theme of The Hangover, but focuses on Jesus' Last Supper with his disciples, and also includes coke from Jerusalem and hash from Galilee. Very funny, full of references and harsh allusions. Bartholomew pretending to be the Messiah or the Roman Legion were great. 7/10. ()

inglés I didn't see The Hangover, but I still had as much fun as I did with The First Temptation of Christ by the same filmmakers. I'd quite like to see them go for a biblical feature film – it could easily be a successor to Life of Brian if they'd put some thought into the story and some of the overlap in addition to the jokes. inglés First, the negatives: too short. That’s as far as the negatives go, otherwise it was a film that the Brazilian filmmakers tailor-made for me. The last supper of the greatest of the carpenters and his twelve helpers was served in a style that would cause many Catholics major health issues (starting with a burst blood vessel and ending with excessive self-harm). In this case, I didn't mind that it was an unscrupulous rip-off of Monty Python, because it was for a good cause. ()
