A young woman is brutally attacked and murdered after getting into a fight with her married lover. The victim Phoebe Morgan (Melissa Hickey) was bound and gagged while the killer pleasured himself. Because of a unique speech impediment (captured on the 911 call) Detectives Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Eames (Kathryn Erbe) believe the killer is Keith Durbin (Paul Sparks), a recently paroled sex offender. Goren realizes the killer is arrogant, and tries to smoke him out with newspaper leaks. The leak works and Goren receives a letter and picture from the killer - a serial offender who was never captured. (iTunes)
