Bill Roberts es fogonero en un barco que acaba de atracar en el puerto de Nueva York. Tiene una noche de permiso por delante y espera aprovecharla emborrachándose y conociendo a algunas chicas. Beautiful romance portrayed by two great actors and one excellent director. There are great shots, especially from the docks. The camera captures the places and their atmosphere perfectly, but overall I can't help but feel that the film is not so groundbreaking in terms of filmmaking, rather it is a solidly executed work that can be enjoyed even after ninety years.
