After collapsing during dinner, Poirot is banished to the resort island of Sandy Covc for a two-week recuperative stay. Subject to a taxing (and decidedly undignified) regimen of diet and exercise, he is distracted from his plight by growing suspicions that death awaits one of his fellow guests. Solid and conservative work on the part of the director, a traditional concert by Suchet and a rather toiling, but all the better gradating plot in terms of the script. By the way, an episode that clearly illustrates that the power of a detective (as well as the power of a psychoanalyst) begins only when the order is irreversibly disturbed (until then, he is only a passive "evil-Precog" with no possibility to intervene).

I simply enjoy these longer episodes. You can hardly tell that it was filmed after the year 2000. Hercule Poirot is still funny, and you can see that his character has evolved. That's very good. In addition, this case is brilliantly complicated, which is evident in the final resolution, which is very imaginative. Excellent episode.
