El padre Lamont es enviado por su cardenal para que investigue la muerte del padre Merrin y la causa de la posesión de la joven Regan por el demonio Pasuzu. Lamont viajará a África para investigar la posesión de otro hombre por un demonio llamado Kokumo, al que el padre Merrin había realizado un exorcismo años atrás. Exorcist II: The Heretic is a useless film. That's just the way it is. Nothing happens here that would be truly crucial for the series; it just dilutes what was introduced by the legendary first film and turns it into a bit of a circus, relying on good actors who don't have roles worthy enough to showcase their talents. Most memorable remains Linda Blair, who is the mascot of this series.
