Woody Allen, a tireless cinematic storyteller with a wonderful sense of poetry, restraint, and comic detail, tries to present New York in all its beauty, attractiveness, nakedness, and depravity through a newly-in-love couple full of ideals. However, the young couple pays for their emotional immaturity. With this film, Allen proves once again that he is one of the masters of dialogue and multi-layered stories. (75%)

I wouldn’t say I liked the beginning very much, but then it only got better until the excellent last half hour, which reminds me a bit of Walter Mitty's adventurous journey. Until then, the narrative style was a bit evocative of Woody Allen's work. In the end, however, this is another unconventional film in its own way, and you can feel Richard Linklater all over it. On a side note, I have sympathy for the protagonist (played brilliantly by Cate Blanchett) shunning people, as I am also rather reclusive by nature. (80%)

Easygoing relaxation that fulfills its purpose, if you expect nothing else from it. There could have been fewer slapstick jokes, preferably only one would have been enough. Unfortunately, the lesson the filmmakers are trying to teach is based on lies, which makes it meaningless. Although the current globalized world has long since ceased to operate on the principle of truth. Who today believes that the truth triumphs? And we behave accordingly. (40%)

To forgive is not to forget. That doesn't mean pretending nothing happened. To forgive is to love. To love someone regardless of their guilt. Whatever it may be." - The mesmerizing Bartosz Bielenia as a self-proclaimed fake priest sends a timeless message with his unique acting style that there is good and evil in every human being. It is then up to you what you prefer at the time. It also kind of depends on what society or the community you live in allows you to do. The fascinating drama Corpus Christi contains some powerful ideas and remarkable reflections. You will also find some impressively filmed scenes that make your blood run cold. It is a very good film with an original story that is definitely worth watching. (95%)

I saw Christmas Getaway the other day and now I'm feeling a kind of unpleasant déjà vu. I could count the differences in the plot on one hand! I took into account the fact that director Peter Sullivan had made Broadcasting Christmas a year earlier, the cast was more likable, and the overall film was a bit better. (35%)

This theme has been seen a hundred times before, yet I enjoyed this Finnish road movie immensely. One cannot deny the inspiration from the famous film Thelma and Louise, but fortunately, the filmmakers didn't stick to the same exact formula. I couldn't predict some of the twists and turns of the story in advance and the denouement remained a mystery to me until the last moment... I would also like to highlight the performances of Kristy Kosonen and Sonja Kuittinen. Both girls were very convincing. Moreover, they were a joy to watch, for example, during their seductive dances. The icing on the cake was the sophisticated soundtrack, which perfectly suited the sympathetic main characters. (85%)

The main strength of the psycho-thriller Run is the slowly thickening atmosphere and the excellent performances of Sarah Paulson and Kiera Allen. I devoured the film until about halfway through, but then there were a few clichéd twists that I could have done without. That is why, although I am very reluctant to, I have to take one star away from my originally intended four stars. (65%)

I've been through a few long Norwegian tunnels and the idea of something like this happening to me is really scary. Fortunately, in Norway, the roads are not lined with the same kind of people as in rougher countries, so I was able to enjoy the transformation of the landscape after leaving the tunnel, which was often quite incredible... And now a little more about the film. The filmmakers managed to portray the crash very realistically, which of course I commend. It was a little worse with the stories of the rescued persons, in which there were several illogical snags. Fortunately, it wasn't anything so bad that it fundamentally spoiled my viewing experience. (65%)

I definitely enjoyed the second season of the family series Everwood more than the first season. The plot was certainly more interesting and there was a bit of humor at times, so I'm quite curious to see what happens next. (80%)

That was so stupid, I had to laugh. The creators obviously didn't bother with logic, but at least the passable computer animation saved the overall impression a bit. However, I cannot give more than one star. (25%)
