Como los británicos no pelean nunca durante las horas del té, o en los fines de semana, al César le resultó muy fácil derrotarles, a pesar de haberse presentado de una manera increíblemente desorganizada. Afortunadamente, ¡una aldea bretona aislada sigue resistiendo! Habiendo sido solicitada su ayuda, los romanos se apoderan de todos los barriles de vino que pueden encontrar en Londinium, incluido el de los Galos, demasiado ocupados en recuperarse de su primera comida inglesa. Cumpliendo órdenes, los legionarios comienzan a catar todos los barriles para averiguar cual es el que contiene la pócima mágica. La ceremonia de cata se convierte en un caos cuando los soldados se emborrachan bebiéndose hasta la última gota. A Astérix le resulta fácil entonces recuperar el precioso barril. (Llamentol)

The only one of all the Asterix films that is a quality adaptation of a storybook adventure. Smart, yet understandable humour, this time spiced with a pinch of English dry humour.

Traditional animated adventure based on the 1966 album "Asterix in Britain". Or Asterix, Obelix, Idefix, Astrix and a keg of magic drink on the go. It's nice, it's fine. The Brits can't cook, the Celts are all cousins and that's that :)

Fantastic! This is exactly what true animated entertainment should look like. If the poor Gauls had any idea how the Brits can spoil even a delicious boar, they would not have gone to their aid at all. Fortunately, they didn't and I was able to witness not only a series of unforgettable catchphrases and fights, but even the toughest rugby match in history, which I will truly never forget.

Another one of my favorite Asterix books, mainly because they constantly poke fun at the Britons. It's funny, it breaks stereotypes, and on top of that, it always has a story in which the Romans fit perfectly, as well as the whole story, which is actually a celebration of food and drink, although it may be a celebration in a somewhat negative sense of the word.
