Una comedia de situación estadounidense de diez centavos sobre una familia disfuncional concebida como un largometraje. La mitad de los chistes no son divertidos y el resto está bien. Afortunadamente, antes de que termine la película, conocerás a los personajes y obtendrás al menos algo de humor, pero la mayoría de las veces no entenderás dónde está la broma. Idéntica en tema pero mucho más imaginativa es la comedia de Frank Oz Un funeral de muerte (2008).

Negatives: 1) The jump from a moving car is incredibly badly filmed. 2) I was annoyed by the gradual reconciliation of relationships in the family, real life just doesn’t work that way. Positives: 1) Zooey Deschanel. 2) Not that I spent the whole time laughing, but I had quite a few opportunities to do so. 3) The funeral. I saw two films with this theme in two days and both of them turned out great. 4) Overall impression. I found this to be an extremely feel-good film.
