La señora Brisby es un tímido ratón de campo, una viuda que vive con sus hijos en la granja de la familia Fitzgibbon. Uno de los pequeños, Timothy, cae enfermo de neumonía y debe permanecer en reposo o corre el riesgo de morir. El contratiempo llega en el peor momento, justo cuando los Fitzgibbon se disponen a arar la tierra, lo que significa que el hogar de la señora Brisby y sus hijos será destruido. (Filmin)

A pleasantly different cartoon that I'll definitely like to watch again sometime. It has an imaginative story, whose main character is a caring mouse mother from the family and not any of her teenage offspring, it is unusually suspenseful and action-packed at times (a fight with a cat) and even scary (an owl), and in the finale blood flows and people die... Nowadays, such a film would certainly stand up to scrutiny, as both children and adults will find something to enjoy, and the latter need not be ashamed of watching a "fairytale". And lest I forget, The Secret of NIMH has a great score by Jerry Goldsmith.
