Aubrey Davis descubre, de labios de su madre enferma, la Sra. Davis, que su hermana Karen se encuentra en un hospital en Japón. También averigua que Karen está siendo investigada por la muerte de su novio en un incendio que ella misma provocó en una casa situada en Tokio. Como la Sra. Davis está demasiado enferma para emprender el viaje, pide a Aubrey que vaya a Tokio y se traiga a casa a su hermana. Al poco de llegar a la capital japonesa, un reportero y fotógrafo que responde al nombre de Eason busca a Aubrey para advertirle de que su hermana Karen está sometida a los designios de algo invisible y peligroso. A noticeable drop in quality from the first part, but the second Grudge is still an above-par ghost story. Not all the jump-scares are effective this time, the ghosts look terrifying only sometimes, and the feeling of dread from the first part doesn’t appear until the second half. We follow again three storylines that connect at the end, and one of those connections is actually surprising. My rating is somewhere between 50 and 60%
