Puppet Master II is a sequel that is not outright bad, but it's not outright good either. There are elements to appreciate, but it gets a little lost in the fact that the film can easily get boring. It's a shame because it had a pretty good build-up, especially with the mysterious mask. The film tries to further build the mythology of the puppeteer, which somewhat succeeds, but the excitement didn't really happen.
