Sinopsis(1)
Chuck y Larry son el orgullo del parque de bomberos: son inseparables y siempre están dispuestos a hacerlo todo el uno por el otro. Larry es viudo y ante todo quiere proteger a su familia. Su gran amigo quiere, ante todo, disfrutar de la vida de soltero. Larry le salvó la vida a Chuck en un incendio y ahora le toca a él pedirle un gran favor. Un rollo burocrático impide a Larry que sus dos hijos sean los beneficiarios de su seguro de vida. Para solucionarlo, basta con que Chuck firme unos formularios como pareja de Larry. Total, nadie se va a enterar. Pero un funcionario tiene sospechas y la vida de la pareja deja de ser un secreto para convertirse en noticia. Obligados a hacerse pasar por dos enamorados recién casados, deben fingir ser la típica pareja feliz. Después de sobrevivir a la luna de miel y conseguir que nadie descubra la farsa, los dos entienden que apoyarse mutuamente en los malos momentos es la base de la familia. (Universal Pictures España)

An enjoyable but less classic Sandler flick. Adam Sandler and Kevin James are excellent, but the script perhaps takes itself too seriously towards the end.

Sandler flicks are always a guarantee of quality and good fun. Although lately I've been feeling like Adam Sandler is always playing the same character, just throwing him into increasingly weird situations. And, of course, he picks counterparts to feast your eyes on (I mean Jessica Biel, not Kevin James ;). This time, he plunged into the gay world and domestic partnership, and turned it into a gentle witty satire on human nature. And I'm always happy to watch that.

Siempre que veo una buena "sandlerovka", porque para mí significa una promesa de entretenimiento de calidad, aunque a veces está impregnada de chistes desagradables. Cuando Chuck se casó con Larry, comienza bien y le dura hasta la segunda mitad, luego recurre a los clichés y destila demasiado de lo americano. A pesar de eso, sigo siendo admirador de Adam Sandler, Click y The Self-Control Course siempre ocuparán un lugar destacado en mi lista.

After the terrible "Jack and Jill," I wanted to cheer myself up, so I watched this movie. I have to say that I was thrilled. This is the Sandler I like. His jokes are offensive, disgusting, he behaves like a jerk, but you still eat it up. Kevin James shows that he is a great partner, but he can handle the whole film by himself. However, Sandler and him fit perfectly and you can see how good friends they are. And when they're not, they can play it great. A pair of firefighters, one's bad social situation, a registered partnership, and a wedding as the only way out. The plot is far-fetched, but there are excellent cameo roles played by classics such as Rob Schneider, Nick Swardson, or David Spade, as well as newer faces in Sandler's movies - Dan Aykroyd, Steve Buscemi, or Ving Rhames. This Sandler rocks, and even though there is no shortage of toilet humor or final moral lessons that are really far-fetched, this is a comedy that I would gladly watch again. In some time.
