Todo empieza cuando, Anderson (Jason Biggs) provoca, literalmente, la muerte de su novia, debido a la impresión que le provoca que le pida matrimonio en un restaurante de moda. Después de un año sumido en la autocompasión, su mejor amigo le incita a abrirse de nuevo a las posibilidades de la vida. Siguiendo su consejo, propone matrimonio a la primera mujer que aparece ante sus ojos, Katie (Isla Fisher), una camarera que está trabajando en el café en el que se encuentran. Después de un flashback en el que la chica vuelve a vivir los hechos de las últimas 24 horas (incluida una propuesta de matrimonio de su actual novio), Fisher acepta la propuesta de Anderson. A partir de aquí comienza una aventura descabellada que demuestra lo difícil que puede llegar a ser el amor, sobre todo cuando te casas con un extraño. (On pictures)

A movie that couldn't disappoint me, only surprise me... and it did. For me, an excellent comedy led by the great Isla Fisher. Jason Biggs once again did not disappoint and played his role to perfection. The dozens of original jokes almost had me rolling on the floor laughing (e.g. the non-pregnant pregnant woman). The only thing I can't forgive the filmmakers for are the sex scenes of Anderson's parents... those were more embarrassing than funny. But that's a mere blemish on a beauty. "Why is he hugging that cop?" "I'll explain later, honey." "No, seriously, why is she hugging that cop?" 4.5 stars.

Další z řady bláznivých komedií, od které jsem si mnoho nesliboval, avšak chtěl ji vidět, protože mě rozesmála ukázka, která obsahovala všechny nejvtipnější scény. Přesto Amorův úlet není jen bezduchou šíleností plnou nechutných vtipů, těch se autoři právě vystříhali. Jason Biggs je sympaťák, Isla Fisher prokázala svůj komediální talent už v Nesvatbových, Michael Weston je ostřílený komediální herec, ostatní postavy, především rodičovské taky nejsou špatné. Zkrátka Amorův úlet je komedie, která neurazí, ale ani závratně nenadchne.

It is horribly predictable and sometimes horribly stupid, but I can't help it, there were moments when I laughed and I actually enjoyed it. So that's why I give it a slightly higher rating. This comedy didn't try to have any ambitions, Biggs plays the same as always, but Isla Fisher is simply beautiful. So that's about it.
