These days we don’t see much originality in horror, but The Deaths of Ian Stone is an exception, I didn’t expect such an interesting and unique story. If I add up the barely effective atmosphere, the several twists and turns, the decent actors and the pretty scary monster, I get an above-average horror film deserving four stars. If I subtract the feeling that a lot more could have been done with it, and the ruined ending, I get average three stars.
