Sinopsis(1)

inglés The individual parts are great (especially the ones set "to music"), but the whole is a cliché seen a thousand times, which doesn't have even a pinch of drive, especially in the second third. The cynical introduction is a pleasure and the ending has fantastic gradation, but there have been plenty of such anti-system revolts and Sapochnik is unfortunately only able to impress for the average length of a song. Law is great, whilst Whitaker has a tendency to overact. Thumbs up for the unceasing geysers of blood! 3 ½. ()

inglés You just can’t help loving a world where lungs themselves go out into the parking lot to light up. The future in Repo Men isn’t dazzlingly original in any way and we have already seen plots involving fighting against the system and the twists somewhere before. Sapochnik enjoys concentrating on details and I do too. And Jude Law is cooler than ever and, for the first time in a long time, Forest “Psycho" Whitaker nails his role. Great visuals, special effects and snappy lines that flow out nice and natural. I got what I expected, plus an extra surprise. Ah, come on, honey. It’s only a kidney. ()

inglés Originally, I thought that my one star would be for the star-studded cast and the other, if nothing else, for the neurosystem M5, but in the end, I reflected and realized that it would just be a waste of stars in all directions. Repo Men fails in the most basic thing that I appreciate in a movie. The film is unable to even create a functional world based on logical foundations, and actually, completely gives up on its construction. That society doesn't work even in the most basic sense, and logic limps in both the specific actions and events at the level of individual characters and scenes. It's a typical example of a movie where the director prioritizes the chase, the shootout, or the physical fight over logically justifying the events on the screen. Two other things bother me - I don't like it when something pretends to be wise and tries to appear smarter than it really is. I also dislike the inconsistency of the script, which in the first half wants to be a dark dystopia, warning about the misuse of technology, and then in the second half turns into an action ride, which can only be accepted as a pure comedy due to how exaggerated, bloody, and flashy it is. But I'm afraid the director didn't want to parody anything and it was just about having a cool style. In the end, it's just a contradictory action B-movie - true - with a pleasant and functional cast that fans of the genre or generally viewers who don't have a problem with illogical plots will appreciate. Overall impression: 25%. ()

inglés To begin with, I’d like to recommend everyone to watch the worse reviewed though better, bolder and more original Repo! The Genetic Opera. And now about this film. The beginning is quite good, but it doesn’t take long for the film to fall deeper and deeper into numbness and get lost in a maze of clichés, unable to find its way out. I didn’t like the middle at all because I hate it when a killer preaches about morality (because that’s what Law’s rant against society is). The last act has one fairly effective scene, followed by the politically correct and expected from the beginning happy end. I was cursing under my breath and was ready to brutally kill this film, but then comes this year’s biggest scam on the viewer so far that on the one hand made me quite mad, but on the other took away most of the complaints I could have towards Repo Men. The resulting impression then is very mixed. ()

inglés Brutally staged action, a sea of blood, and an excellent ending. But, unfortunately, you can the 32 million USD budget. The production design is weak, with cramped sets, etc. The plot didn't really interest me, but watching a badass Jude Law wielding knives is an experience that won't be repeated easily. The plot is original to about thirty percent, otherwise, it's a mix of The Fugitive and Minority Report. Unfortunately, it doesn't come close to the quality of either, but even just for the action, it's worth finding and watch it once. ()
