“Let’s turn him into fodder for puke-roaches." I’m sure the creators had a great time filming this. It’s just a shame that they didn’t manage to pass it on to the viewer. Visually and musically, it really isn’t bad and you won’t get particularly bored during the twenty-five minutes of playing time. If it weren’t for the dialogs and wannabe snappy lines, this could be considered a quality piece. But with them, Skeletons is the absolute bottom of the barrel. If their wise-guy lines were meant to be funny, they have another think coming. But if they were meant seriously, then... I don’t want even to imagine such an awful possibility. Overall it has a couple of good moments (mainly toward the end), and if it had been shorter and snappier (if they left out the TV intro and completely cut the dumb, stoned dudes in the car) and without those non-jokes, then this could even be a good movie. Originally, I looked forward to the film considering its student nature, but what fails the most in the picture is not the low budget or technical aspect. In Skeletons, the script fails completely, and the quality of the dialogues is more than embarrassing - these are, however, the basic elements of a film and could have been supervised. The visual aspect is indeed interesting, but clearly only imitates foreign models. Overall impression 25 %. (16.08.2008)
