The film is based on a Slovak best-selling novel of the 1990s bringing a sarcastic simile of the rise of an individual to power. It is a story of a simple-minded, mysterious and brutal man called Rácz who comes to work in a hotel basement in the capital. He builds a career and gains financial and political power. This is the background of the exciting, foolish, dramatic and tragic situations between Rácz and the characters that come into his way. Nothing can stop him on his way to achieve his goals. He gains the support and respect of the people around the hotel without revealing his real face or identity. Algunos de los personajes son tan ridículos que eso no tiene nombre. Miro Noga simplemente NO es un actor para un largometraje, aunque interpretara a un payaso de circo en él. Pero Ady Hajdu se esfuerza y Andrej Hryc nació para este papel. Hay giros lógicamente inexplicables en la película, pero el final salva una gran parte y arroja una luz decente sobre la idea urgente. De los diez largometrajes que se han realizado en Eslovaquia desde el cambio político, éste está sin duda entre los cinco primeros. Pero, ¿es eso un cumplido?
