Sinopsis(1)

Journey into the imaginative world of Palace where kings and queens still rule modern day Korea. Grand and beautiful, the palace becomes the home to a group of royals pulled into the political rivalries and romantic entanglements of palace life. Shin (Joo Ji-Hoon) may be the picture-perfect Crown Prince, but he is aloof and wary of his royal status. Commoner Chae-Kyung (Yoon Eun-Hye) is headstrong and outspoken, but fiercely loyal to her loved ones. Their worlds unexpectedly collide when an arranged marriage makes them husband and wife! It s not exactly happily ever after for this royal odd couple as they try to make sense of their relationship. Life gets even more complicated when Prince Yool (Kim Jeong-Hoon) returns to the palace to compete for both Chae-Kyung's affection and the throne. (texto oficial de la distribuidora)

inglés Of all the roles Eun-hye Yoon has played, I liked her the best here. The goofiness just suited her to the max. For a show that's 24 episodes long, it flowed on by. Even though the first half of the episodes didn't end interestingly at all, which is why I didn't feel the need to watch the next one right away. Thanks to the bears, though, I'll forgive them. I didn't mind the third wheel Lee Yul at first, but by the end there was too much of him. But I couldn't stand Hyo-rin from the very beginning. I think this cute dorama is one of those Korean classics that should be seen by everyone who cares about this genre. 3.5 stars. ()

inglés I have to admit I watched it in, well, less than three days. Except the reason wasn't so much that I was so engrossed in it, like hurry, hurry, what next?! It was that I skipped a lot of scenes. I got tired of hearing the palace intrigues, the conversations between the king and queen, what her parents were dealing with. Totally uninterested. The only thing I enjoyed, and I enjoyed it a lot, was watching Chae-kyung and Shin's relationship – at the beginning, that is. After that, I wasn't too amused by the various misunderstandings. But those two had some really wonderful scenes with each other. They're the reason why I watched it to the end. And I liked the soundtrack too (so almost every k-dorama has a good soundtrack, the dorama always has its song (which I often download). I could recommend it, but not as a whole. There are some great moments, but also some absolutely dead passages that I just skipped over mercilessly. But what I didn't skip was at times heartbreakingly cute... ^^ It's totally middle of the road, there's no other way to rate this (for me). I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to cut the series in half or so, cut out all the scenes I didn't enjoy, and it would get a full rating :-) Btw: make sure to watch the special too, it’s pretty entertaining.
