A “butler” was always alongside a boy known as the Aristocrat of Evil. In the latter half of the 19th century, Sebastian is a butler for the aristocratic Phantomhive household. He is intelligent, refined, dignified, and specializes in cooking and martial arts - a perfect servant in all respects. Dressed to the nines in a jet black tailcoat, Sebastian magnificently performs his duties, effortlessly dealing with his selfish 12-year-old master, Ciel. (Aniplex)

Kurošicudži (2008)

inglés At first I thought, well yeah, that's pretty good. Then sometimes I had to fast forward a bit because I got bored, but then the last 2 episodes or so got interesting again, so I’m giving it a better 2 stars. For the girls, there's the excellent Sebastian, who is quite easy to drool and quiver at. For those who are satisfied with Lolita-boys there is Ciel. For those who are satisfied with infantile humor, there are the three incompetent servants. For those who like “evil" angels, there's the main bad guy. For those who like grim reapers with the same taste as most young girls, there's Grell Sutcliff. For those who like long-haired, humor-loving gravediggers, they’ll find one of those here, too. Then there's also the curry. You'll learn the best way to make it. Well, let's recap – you'll find a lot here (fan service among other things), but all together it plays a pretty weird tune. Which is a shame, because I'd like to give it at least the 3 stars (if only for Sebby and Grell), except that it wouldn't be fair. Hottie alert! ()

Season 2 (2010) (S02)

inglés To be honest, I liked it – throughout – more than the first one, which is why it got an extra star as well. BUT what was the deal with the ending? It didn’t get me, it was kind of bland and flavorless. I don't feel like elaborating on how Alois was a sadist and in his own way a really disgusting character, that Ciel retained something of his nobility, that Claude was just a cheap imitation of Sebastian from the get-go, that Sebastian wasn't so cool anymore, that Grell may have stepped up but just drooled over Sebastian and his "scythe" was rarely used, that we saw all the familiar faces here but thankfully they didn't bother us for long because it was more focused on Alois/Ciel (no, I'm really not pairing them up and I don't plan to), that Hannah and the three minions kind of annoyed me, too. It was sort of fine throughout, there was even a twist that happened that I absolutely was not expecting (but then that twist was a bit of a burial; never mind, we'll survive). Kind of a weak 3 stars, which might not have been so weak if they hadn't messed up the ending so badly. ()

Book of Circus (2014) (S03)

inglés Once again we have the demon Sebastian and his master Ciel, this time tasked by the Queen to find out who is kidnapping little children on the streets of London. So they go undercover in the circus where all the clues are leading. It's a short story that gives us just a taste of Black Butler, so the moment the viewer gets a taste of it, they say: "No, no, that's plenty", high five, blow a kiss, and slam the door. A great commercial for the manga. The story isn't bad, even though it's fairly obvious what's going on and most of it is pretty predictable, you keep watching and don't get overly bored with it. At first it seems like filler when they’re trying to teach Ciel how to smile, so we experience various hilarious situations, but later the story gets serious and a battle begins on several fronts, which I enjoyed. It basically ends like a feature film – that's how people are, Sebastian. --- Indeed, that's why I find them interesting. Period. It won't offend, it will please the fans. Slightly above average. ()
