Sinopsis(1)

When second-graders Bryce and Juli first meet, Juli knows it’s love. Bryce isn’t so sure. Beginning that day, and for the next six years, young Bryce (Callan McAuliffe) does everything he can to keep his outspoken wannabe girlfriend at arm’s length…which isn’t easy since they go to the same school and live across the street from each other. Smart, dreamy, independent and willing to stand up for what she believes in, Juli (Madeline Carroll) is different from anyone else he knows and, frankly, it’s a little overwhelming. What’s a guy supposed to do when a girl tells him his hair smells like watermelon or wants him to sit in a tree for the spectacular view? There’s just no telling what Juli will do next, and Bryce is one guy who’d rather be safe than sorry. Though disappointed by Bryce’s unwillingness to see things her way, or even to see the things in life she finds most meaningful, Juli continues to give her potential dreamboat the benefit of the doubt. Until those doubts stack up so high that she finally thinks maybe she was wrong about him. It’s just about the same time Bryce starts to think maybe he was wrong about her, too. But is he too late? inglés Flipped is a heartwarming telling of a real-life story, where Rob Reiner, unlike the vast majority of American productions focusing on adult life wisdom exchanges, focuses on elementary school. It has an unwavering charm and a touch of melancholic nostalgia, atypically spiced up with the 1960s, full of prejudices and clichés. It went by fast and was a lot of fun. ()

inglés A highly original take on first love, which didn't get annoying like other more or less dumb teen comedies. The film has a lot going for it: it doesn’t take sides, it has a retro vibe, it is filmed in such a way that even I found it endearing and extremely enjoyable, it’s unpretentious and it’s poignant without the use of emotional blackmail. I either didn't notice the negatives or there weren’t any. Either way, the film was enjoyable and extremely relaxing. A special mention goes to the great work with light and color, which perfectly accentuated the tone of the whole film. ()

inglés I see this as a beautiful unadulterated story of childhood love told from two different perspectives. I was moved by the nice music and the natural atmosphere. I'm just not thrilled with the ending. It was in the spirit of the whole film, it ended well, but it wanted something more. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the retro style and the cast (not just the main characters)! Cute, cute, adorable... 4 stars. ()

inglés An audiobook with moving pictures. Even if you didn't know (like me, for example) that it was an adaptation of a novel, soon it becomes obvious. Here, the images are nothing more than a necessary addition. They are not used to tell the story; everything is said exclusively with words. Many words. It just feels like a book read out aloud. However, it must be acknowledged that it is an excellent reading of an (apparently) good book. ()

inglés I wasn’t interested at all in this film, but someone recommended it to me recently and I gave it a chance; no regrets. It won me over, it touched me, it’s a beautiful, lovely and interestingly told story. And a fun fact: while watching it, I I thought about the film Stand by Me, the accurate portrayal of the relationships among the kids reminded me a lot of it. And surprise: it’s from the same director :-) ()
