The eighth episode, for me, wasn't as thrilling as the previous one, but it still belongs among the better ones. I consider the conclusion of the conversation between Ned Stark and Varys in the cell to be the most interesting moment of the episode. I really enjoyed Cersei's manipulation tactics, but the storyline with the northerners was somewhat weaker. ()
An episode entirely about intrigue and political infighting, spiced up by two attractive minor duels – a fencing teacher and a barbarian warrior. The zombie thread is still taken with a grain of salt, let's see what the writers have planned for it. ()
