Alex y su hermana se dedican a separar parejas. Desde Mónaco hasta Marruecos, ningún sitio es demasiado lejos y ningún trabajo es demasiado grande. Con un nivel de éxito del 100%, son los mejores en su trabajo. Por más inmoral que pueda parecer su profesión, ellos tienen su propio código de honor: regla nº 1, nunca separar una pareja estable y regla nº 2, no enamorarse jamás. Pero cuando un hombre los contrata para terminar la relación de su hija con su novio, empiezan a romper las reglas. (A Contracorriente Films)

El arte de los cineastas para hacer este excelente cóctel del humor, que es de buen gusto, y del romanticismo, que no molesta, es a veces más admirable que el arte de los creadores de dramas de calidad. Muy agradable. Y esos exteriores de Mónaco... un cuento de hadas. En algo, los franceses son insuperables.

A pleasant romantic comedy. I didn’t like very much the main couple at first, but they managed to earn my sympathy as the minutes went by. That said, all the hype around Heartbreaker was, IMHO, very, very exaggerated. It was nice to watch once, but that I will want to think about it – let alone watch it – again, no way. 7/10

It's hard to find an objective explanation for why this particular romance is garnering such enthusiasm. From my humble point of view, it's mainly that it has a good idea, an escapade of elegant wit and quite a skillful zigzagging between the established genre aisles. Another way to look at it is that it's a pleasure to watch a film where you say to yourself, "and now this is going to happen"... and it happens in a completely different way than you thought. 4 ½.

It's not entirely bad for being "just" a romantic film that tries to engage on both a romantic level and a humorous one. There's also a little action to give it the right drive. I just wasn't as entertained as I would expect from a good romantic comedy.
