Adele sólo tiene 22 años, pero arrastra consigo una vida cargada de dolor y mala suerte que le incita al suicidio. Un día está cerca de cometer una locura saltando desde un puente hasta el río Sena, pero un lanzador de cuchillos llamado Gabor lo impide y salva a la joven muchacha. Poco después Gabor se muestra interesado en ayudar a Adele, ofreciéndole un trabajo como ayudante en su espectáculo. De actuación en actuación, Gabor convertirá a Adele en su pasión, su amor platónico, su deseo inalcanzable. Adele, por su parte, sufre de una gran inestabilidad emocional. (Wanda Visión)

Without doubts, the dialogues in Girl on the Bridge are so well-developed that the movie captivates you with the very first words of Vanessa Paradis’s monologue about what has happened. Then boom, cut, and there is an amazing scene on the bridge, describing with every word and every emotion how life will unfold. The great Daniel Auteuil enters the scene and the whole black-and-white story unravels very nicely, but in all respects a bit predictably. That’s my only reservation about this movie. Otherwise I did not expect this movie would make me feel so good. But France was always good in that, especially that of old.
