Boog, Elliot y todos sus amigos del bosque viven una nueva aventura; la más divertida y peluda de todas las aventuras y esta vez, ¡en un circo! Como sus amigos no pueden ir al viaje anual "sólo para chicos", Boog decide viajar por su cuenta. Y al encontrarse con un circo itinerante, Boog se hace pasar por un oso pardo que se le parece mucho y le sustituye en su actuación circense. Pero cuando el circo decide volver a Rusia, Elliot, McSquizzy, Mr. Weenie y el resto de la pandilla se embarcan en una carrera contrarreloj para rescatar a Boog ¡antes de que sea demasiado tarde! The series lost most of what I loved so much about the first Open Season somewhere around the middle of the second one. The third film capped off the sad mess with an extremely boring story and much cheaper looking animation.

Why is it still called "Hunting Season", it's hard to say, but it's clear that it is based on the characters. Characters that are no longer even a bit funny and only show that to create an animated feature film, it is not necessary to have a good script, but simply perseverance. If there will be a fifth film, then anything is possible.
