Lewis Hicks, un periodista de sucesos especializado en asesinatos brutales, descubre el cuerpo mutilado de la joven fiscal Felicia Carson, con la que había terminado una breve relación sentimental esa misma tarde. Hicks, que consigue ver al asesino cuando escapa de la casa, lo persigue y alcanza, aunque no consigue atraparlo. Al día siguiente, cuando vuelve al lugar de los hechos, el periodista encuentra el diario del asesino, en el que hay datos sobre las que posiblemente vayan a ser sus siguientes víctimas... con la fecha y la forma en la que van a morir. A routine thriller about a serial killer combined with the sci-fi motif of time travel; however, it is not properly utilized, and it's the type with a time paradox, the one that Zemeckis used in the Back to the Future series. It has an average screenplay and an average cast, with Neal McDonough standing out, who managed to give charisma to his villain. In fact, he is the only positive aspect of this otherwise forgettable film. Overall impression: 40%.
