Sophie (July) y Jason (Linklater), pareja treintañera, modernita, convive en su feliz, ensoñador, poético 'cool-world' hasta que un día llega por casualidad a sus manos el retrato de una joven realizado por su propio padre. Miranda July is probably a little bit nuts. I cannot say that The Future is thoroughly a bad movie. I just had a feeling that I spent hour and a half watching two aliens that do not belong into this world. However, the ending was shocking, but it also confirmed that Sophie and Jason are really two weirdos about whom I can say nothing good. I admire that this independent American piece tried to be unique with the cat in it. But maybe there was more depression than was necessary.
