Season 1 (2015) (S01)
Of course, everything is more in the style of Scream 4, but since I miss Gale, why not at least enjoy the teen paranoia and the obligatory plots "everyone sleeps with everyone," the "blonde sleeps with teacher," the "podcaster and barista hook up," spiced up with "mom, you survived a massacre in high school" or "my friend was killed yesterday." It's all so peaceful. And there isn't even a new dead body in every episode, so the surviving teenagers have a chance to improve in terms of character.

Season 2 (2016) (S02)
#MTVScream, or the second season of a show that claims to be a slasher that can't be serialized. Of course it can. But Scream: The TV series is simply weak teen fun that would like to be as sophisticated as the movie series, but isn't. The Scream film series thankfully left middle school after the first film, but the series will move on to the same starting point next season. Some of the ideas are reminiscent of King's classic Carrie, and the kids are not great actors, but at least they're authentic. And of course Lakewood is not Woodsboro. Both series unfortunately suffer from the failure to get the original movie mask for the series. Yet the target audience needs an ongoing infographic announcing the names of the songs on the soundtrack more than anything else. For a long time, I didn't even believe there would be a sequel series, but the last series is something quite a bit different.

Resurrection (2019) (S03)
A reboot within the series as it stands makes no sense whatsoever. After two seasons of classic high school boredom that at least built on each other, we now get a shortened 3rd season of Resurrection with a different bunch of kids. The main storyline has a pretty ambitious plot with a prequel and a slightly different atmosphere, but the new kids aren't all that nerdy, they're more down to earth, they worry more about sports, and the media isn't as close to them. However, none of these aspects is a good thing. The lead role was given to RJ Cyler, a pretty likable guy from HBO's I'm Dying Up Here, but even for him this useless Scream series is a flop.
