El ciempiés humano 3

Esto es lo que pasa cuando un cineasta de terror por debajo de la media se emborracha de fama efímera y con la cabeza metida en su propio culo (probablemente siguiendo el ejemplo de los personajes de sus películas) recicla la misma sin parar, esta vez en una autoparodia insoportablemente cutre. ¿Para quién hizo Tom Six esta película, además de para él mismo? Los fans de los dos primeros episodios que esperaban ver marranadas y gore todavía más extremados que en la segunda entrega, aquí se sentirán decepcionados: la tercera carece de ambas cosas. Es más, es aburrida. La inmensa mayoría del exorbitante metraje está dedicado a las ruidosas creaciones de Dieter Lasser, y me dio vergüenza ver algo así. Mientras que El ciempiés humano 2 era el resultado inevitable de lo que los fans querían de la primera película, la tercera no es más que una exhibición no deseada del director, con unas cualidades realmente pobres. What to do with a horror film that’s not scary? What to do with an exploitation flick that’s not unsettling? What to do with a comedy that’s not funny? What to do with a satire that doesn’t hit the target? A simple answer: don’t watch it. If anything, it should be acknowledged that each episode of The Human Centipede is different, and Final Sequence takes things in a self-parodying and satirical way. Six unfortunately (for me) is on a different humour wave than I, so the comedy lead by the overly dramatic performance of Dieter Laser felt incredibly cringe-worthy (really, some of his screaming deliveries made me feel almost sorry for the creators), and he also lacks the intellectual capacity to deliver a non-banal and non-shallow satire about the socio-political situation in the USA. Or at least he didn’t show it in this film. (23.05.2015)

Reintegrating Laser and Harvey into the third film in completely different roles, along with the presence of Six himself playing himself, only turns the film into a parody. It’s intentional, but it simply isn't funny or entertaining. It can shock. For that, Six is good and has scenes here that once again manage to stick in your mind. And surprisingly, these are not scenes with a centipede. Still, I can't help but feel that this really didn't work out. (24.06.2015)
