Sinopsis(1)
La belleza de una paradisiaca isla del Pacífico, en una cautivadora versión de la novela escrita por Henry DeVere Stacpoole, en 1903. Dos niños, Emmeline y Richard, y el cocinero de un barco, únicos supervivientes de un naufragio, son arrastrados por el mar hasta una isla desierta. Poco después, el cocinero muere y los niños tienen que arreglárselas solos. El tiempo pasa, y Emmeline (Brooke Shields) y Richard (Christopher Atkins) crecen, como una parte más del paraíso en el que viven. Sus cuerpos empiezana sufrir los cambios propios de la adolescencia, provocando una curiosidad natural del uno por el otro. I give one point for the shot of the mating turtles, the rest is not worth talking about. Don't hit me, I'm a romantic too, but I have my limits.

This is a nostalgic sigh from the past when I feel like I must have been very young when I watched this movie because back then I didn't even come close to understanding what those two were experiencing and how they had to cope with the pitfalls of adolescence without anyone to advise them. Overall, it's naive, but on the other hand, I find the story pleasantly relaxed, and unspoiled.
