Zero originality, but very solidly executed. A solid thriller that doesn’t deliver any surprises, but has a good atmosphere, cold visuals and villains who are downright nasty, especially in the first half, before their evilness shows up. They played that hidden insanity with panache. :-)

No, this is not a movie that I enjoyed. "Funny Games" is much better and more intense in this regard. Here, I didn't even have that feeling, I didn't have the desire to look elsewhere, because the family is suffering immensely. In fact, I didn't really care what happened to them. Maybe the death of a child or something would have revived it, but this simply is not a movie about cruelty, just a movie that thinks it is about cruelty.
