Girlhouse

Todo lo que un grupo de espectadores adolescentes podría desear con sus palomitas de maíz un viernes por la noche. Chicas en bikini de todas las razas y arquetipos sexuales, cámaras web, una protagonista femenina civil y hermosa, su simpático novio protector, un pervertido chiflado y una matanza sangrienta. Girlhouse es una extraña combinación de contradicciones creativas. El guión trabaja creativamente con todos los personajes y entretiene con detalles sorprendentes a pesar de lo esquemático que es la trama. Al mismo tiempo, tiene las vergonzosas marcas del cine amateur y la estupidez frecuente. Su mayor activo es el asesino, que con su velocidad y radicalismo supera incluso a Leatherface que es más pesado. La brutalidad de la matanza en el tercio final de la película es un resultado sorprendente de la refinada presentación anterior de los personajes, lo que crea otro contraste interesante que diferencia a esta película de otras películas similares. For a slasher, it’s good. It has well portrayed and likeable characters, good craftsmanship, a psychopath that demands some respect and murders that, well, aren’t very creative, but I’ve seen much worse. From the name, the poster and the blurb I was expecting some amateur trash relying only on those girls, but in the end it actually works really well as a solid film murder-fest. The film "GirlHouse" plays with psychological horror, but it truly isn't. In the end, it is just an ordinary slasher film, where the origin of the villain is overly emphasized, but it is still quite effective. The girls are quite attractive here, except for the fact that some of them are artificially enhanced. Overall, I am rather disappointed because much more could have been squeezed out of it than was successful. (09.03.2016)
