inglés There have been quite a few of these tough crime films from Britain lately. Just in my last weekly post, I dealt with two such films. "Shadow Dancer" didn't really impress me with its overly slow pace, and "I Against I" didn't sit well with me because it tried to be overly Tarantino-esque and Ritchie-esque, with neither aspect being fully realized. In the end, even the movie "The Sweeney," based on the old TV series of the same name, didn't really appeal to me, although it was the best of the three for me. How did the film "The Liability," which came from the same environment, fare? I have to say that the whole plot intrigued me quite a bit. A young boy, in order to toughen up, enters a one-day job as a driver. He transports the older cleaner Roy (Tim Roth), who has some jobs to take care of. Violence is present, but in this regard, "The Liability" is surprisingly mild and rather tries to keep us engaged in the story rather than deter us with excessive violence. It is presented well here, bloodlessly, for the masses to accept. I must admit that I would easily welcome a bloodier film because it would gain a real impact. Like this, in some moments, it still smells a bit. Read more: http://www.filmovy-denik.cz/2013/02/the-liability-2012-55.html ()
