François Merlin es un escritor que acaba de tener mucho éxito con su última novela. El protagonista es Bob Saint Clair, un espía muy astuto, inteligente y seductor, justo lo que a François le gustaría ser; el resto de los personajes se basan en la gente que rodea al escritor. Así, se fija en Christine, una guapa estudiante de París, para crear el personaje de Tatiana, la ayudante del héroe que vive con él mil peripecias. (Filmin)

Twice the best. The best parody of trash literature with an invincible agent and the best film with Belmondo. Plus the beautiful Jacqueline Bisset, so there's no argument. Smart and funny entertainment.

I never really gave it a chance as a kid, and I never saw The Man from Acapulco. I'm glad I finally got around to it now because I found it extremely funny, in places where I certainly wouldn't have laughed as a kid. Belmondo is just great and very natural as a comedic actor. Jacqueline also lights it up a little more.
