Roger Scatti es un polícia que, desencantado con la sociedad en la que vive, lidera una célula de extrema derecha llamada "Fidelidad Policial", que se encarga de tomarse la justicia por su propia mano sobre los criminales que la justicia no alcanza a castigar. Eugéne Grindel, colega de Scatti, en un principio, aunque es conocedor de sus actividades, le es totalmente indiferente esa manera de proceder, pero cuando las actividades de Scatti también salpican a sus hombres, decide que tiene que tomar partido y pararle los pies y frenar a toda costa a Fidelidad Policial. Včera jsem sotva přišel z práce, stihnul jsem sebou jen hodit do postele a spát. Když jsem se probral a na ČT 2 dávali tuhle kriminálku, tak jsem neváhal. Nebuďte policajta mi náramně sedlo a mně osobně vyhovují a mnohem víc se mi líbí kriminálky s Delonem než s Belmondem. Tady navíc zářil Michel Serrault, šel z něho opravdu strach a vypadal jako by nepociťoval vůbec žádnou emoci.

The wave of quality French crime films brought with it also this movie, which lacks both in action scenes and quality moments, in which French actors usually show us their most important acting tool – their eyes. As a result, this crime movie is neither good nor bad. It has a little bit of everything, but in the end it has nothing that would make it stand out. Fortunately, Alain Delon didn’t drown in this sea of mediocrity and in the end showed us why he played so many cop characters. But he might have been sick of this film at that point, because it all happened much faster than the audience would have imagined.
