La historia del terrible Pumpkin que ha criado a su hijo en un estado casi salvaje, en un apartado paraje en medio del bosque, inculcándole el miedo acerca del "mundo exterior". Todo cambia cuando el joven, tras un accidente de su padre, ha de salir a buscar ayuda conociendo así a un viejo doctor y a su hija Manon.
