Cuando el famoso piloto aéreo Dusty (voz de Cook) se da cuenta de que su motor está dañado y que quizás nunca vuelva a competir, cambia de carrera para dedicarse a la extinción de incendios. Dusty se une al veterano helicóptero de rescate y contraincendios Blade Ranger y a su valiente equipo que incluye al veterano Super Scooper Lil' Dipper (voz de Bowen), el helicóptero de carga Windlifter, el transporte exmilitar Cabbie y una divertida pandilla de vehículos todoterreno que no tienen miedo a nada conocido como Los Smokejumpers. Anyone who liked the first Planes will have no problem with the second (and anyone who didn't like it probably won't watch the second film, right?). I was a bit worried at first, but after about fifteen boring minutes the plot moved to the firefighter's base and the real spectacle began. Technically everything is perfect. The scenes have swing and momentum, they are often dramatic to the point of suspense, and the digital flames, smoke and water look real. The various jokes were also good, and I really liked the details like the little balsa airplanes nesting in the forest or the deer that look like forestry tractors. Don't be so strict.

Unnecessary continuation of an unnecessary movie. The first film didn't interest me, and the second one didn't either. It's simply a recycling of old themes, where the main character has problems with their engine, but nothing is as bad as it seems. Even though they can't race, they find a way to contribute and help. No, I really didn't like this at all.
