Eva (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), una madre divorciada que sigue sin casarse, pasa los días disfrutando de su trabajo como masajista aunque atemorizada por la inminente partida de su hija hacia la universidad. Eva conoce a Albert (James Gandolfini), un hombre dulce, divertido y afín a ella, que también tiene que lidiar con un nido vacío. Mientras su idilio florece rápidamente, Eva hace amistad con Marianne (Catherine Keener), su nueva clienta. Marianne es una bella poetisa que parece "casi perfecta" salvo por una destacada cualidad: no deja de sacar faltas a su ex marido. A pretty pleasant and chill flick that will neither offend nor excite you. In terms of atmosphere, it felt the closest to Gilmore Girls. You simply sit down on the bar stool, have a cup of coffee and chill while watching TV. What else do you need when you get back from home totally exhausted but a movie that is based on life and that will provide you with pleasant entertainment?

It's strange to watch James Gandolfini when you know he's dead, on the other hand, it's great to watch him as a mature actor who can transform from a mobster to a man who convincingly handles romance, both from a comedic and dramatic perspective. "And So It Goes" is a film that agrees with the current trend of modern dramatic comedies, which are intelligent, naturally acted, and overall try to appeal to multiple viewers' emotions. The film succeeds well in this, mainly thanks to the acting performances, although the story stumbles here and there.
