Marvel - Daredevil (2015)

inglés An ambitious TV adaptation of a well-known comic book, in the spirit of the dark Batman universe made by Christopher Nolan, but lacking the proper epicness, sophistication of the characters and their motivations and, last but not least, a sufficient dose of drama and realism, which fades away over time, especially with the third series. Good stuff, but there’s no need for further episodes and, unlike Punisher, there’s probably no interest either. ()

Season 1 (2015) (S01)

inglés An interesting and ambitious attempt to create the myth of a masked hero with a patina of darkness and fatality like in The Dark Knight. It's pretty flickery in places, and in others it's a tidy series full of screenwriting shortcomings, but you can't deny the effort and the decent cast. The action is interesting, it just needs a better cameraman and editor. ()

Into the Ring (2015) (S01E01)

inglés An appropriately dark opening, playing out a complex plot about the power and corruption of the big city with all the essential props for the material. There's a soft-spoken masked hero, a woman he protects, well-cast bad guys, lots of rain, dark camera filters and of course excellent action. The pursuit of "another dimension" and the dark confession of a hero torn at times between good and evil is a bit reminiscent of DC. We’ll see how it develops. ()

Cut Man (2015) (S01E02)

inglés An interesting alternative to the series, which seems to have been turned into a sort of "mini-movie". We travel back in time to get to know the protagonist and his motivations better. The individual episodes may apparently have a time lapse between them, which is fine. ()

Rabbit in a Snowstorm (2015) (S01E03)

inglés A decently crafted legal drama with thoughtful dialogue and a fantastic opening scene at a bowling alley. We are slowly getting to the main villain and probably what it's all about. ()

In the Blood (2015) (S01E04)

inglés The first episode that is focused on the main villain. It's interesting how ambitiously Marvel approaches the material. The main nemesis is given a great deal of space, which allows the viewer to understand him better than usual. At the same time, it stylizes him into the role of a "normal person" made of flesh and bones and, above all, with emotions. That is, it makes up a kind of gap between good and evil. Impressive, carry on. ()

Condemned (2015) (S01E06)

inglés An episode full of rage, darkness and gunfire, or the cool attributes from the good comics we like so much. In addition, for the first time the clash of two anti-heroes turned out deliciously, with Vladimir coming out on top this time. ()

Stick (2015) (S01E07)

inglés An episode full of flashbacks of one of the main characters, with a complement in the form of Scott Glenn, who for the first time in a very long time plays a character that is not easily forgotten. Decent master-pupil chemistry – the retro is better than the present. ()

Shadows in the Glass (2015) (S01E08)

inglés Fantasy. The best episode so far and the only one that is dramatic enough, clever enough and topical enough to get a full rating. Impeccable craftsmanship, with a compelling finale and of course flashbacks, this time of the other hero, to be fair to both poles. ()

Speak of the Devil (2015) (S01E09)

inglés A little too wild and exotic and sprawling for the pragmatic and, in comics, unusually realistic universe of a hero who gets punched in the mouth every few moments. Even so, there are a few key points worth seeing. Basically, they are two important fights. ()

Nelson v. Murdock (2015) (S01E10)

inglés The weakest episode so far. Not much happens, we're taken back through flashbacks to the nerdy days of Matt’s college days, and this time Foggy goes a bit over the top within the current events, his emotional struggle with his estrangement from the main character is there for a story-twist rather than the real foundations of a dense narrative. ()

The Path of the Righteous (2015) (S01E11)

inglés With the exception of the last couple of minutes, nothing that would warrant watching again. Some of the characters are interesting (Fisk, Ben, Foggy), others are annoying (Karen). ()

The Ones We Leave Behind (2015) (S01E12)

inglés The tricky twists and turns among the group of main villains affect everyone in Hell’s Kitchen. A very good scene with Karen, which sort of redeems her reputation as an annoying uptight bird that should have been taken down halfway through the first series. ()

Daredevil (2015) (S01E13)

inglés A twisted finale that tries to wring the epicness of a blockbuster movie out of a series concept. And for the most part it succeeds. ()

Season 2 (2016) (S02)

inglés Bolder, bigger and finally with the proper Daredevil costume. A typical second season of a successful first. Fortunately, it worked out thanks to the fantastic Punisher and the interesting Elektra, whose storylines are far more engaging than the Yakuza and their dark powers. ()

Bang (2016) (S02E01)

inglés It starts pretty sharp from the get go. An unexpected gang massacre and right from the beginning a Matt vs Frank sniffing match. The best a comic book fan could expect. ()

Dogs to a Gunfight (2016) (S02E02)

inglés The Punisher serenade continues. So far, and mainly thanks to him, considerably better than Season 1. ()

New York's Finest (2016) (S02E03)

inglés Probably the two highlights of the series as a whole. An exchange of views like in a comic-book version of Heat followed by a great single-shot fight. Exactly the boost the second season of Daredevil needed. ()

Penny and Dime (2016) (S02E04)

inglés Frank gets his ass kicked and a true comic book fan "cries". Seeing the Punisher get beaten up hurts a lot more than seeing Daredevil get beaten up. And if that wasn't enough, Elektra comes on the scene, of course with a dark past. ()
