Una representante del Vaticano (Catalina Sandino Moreno) recurre al descreído doctor Seth Ember (Aaron Eckhart), quien tiene la habilidad de entrar en la mente de personas poseídas, para que expulse a un poderoso espíritu del cuerpo de un niño de once años que vive solo con su madre (Carice van Houten). At first glance, Incarnate is an original take on the exorcism genre, but as you watch it, it gradually becomes apparent that there's really very little that's new, because it follows the classic template. In the end, there's not much new in it, and the finale of the film destroys it completely. Everything that could have been good about it is suddenly gone and there's not much of anything left. I simply didn't like Incarnate.
