inglés Post-apocalyptic movies are great in that the authors can literally make up anything they want in them. But a series of waves wasn’t the best idea that would be worth turning into a film. I mean, starting with the first wave, you do get the feeling that the aliens want to wipe out humanity, but at the third wave I didn’t really know what was going on and I put all the other fuckups up to the humans themselves… who else to blame. By the way, Chloe Grace Moretz is the only good thing that is making this film a bit more beautiful. ()

inglés This movie can't possibly entertain even the teenagers it was obviously made for. It's a patchwork film on the level of The Host, which it also resembles in that an otherwise certainly good actress throws away her talent in the lead role. Unfortunately, when there is a stupid script, in the hands of a director without a single idea, neither Chloë Grace Moretz, nor Liev Schreiber, nor anyone, can do anything about it. ()

inglés I won't be completely cruel because I really like Chloë, but this movie is an example of where disaster films are headed nowadays. Following the pattern of "Hunger Games" and its followers, downhill. "Hunger Games" still made sense, but this is just a pseudo-serious game for the young, with a silly story and even more terrible romance. ()

inglés The film got off to a good start, getting my hopes up only to crush them soon afterwards. The beginning of the film felt like Independence Day meets War of the Worlds with a severely reduced budget, but a later development of the plot made me think of Twilight which was a reg flag. The moment the creators added romance to this weird film, everything started going downhill even faster. As if there weren't enough logic holes as it was. The bright lights on the helmets of the squad were an excellent idea, they could use that in real armies, too, shooting would be much more accurate resulting in considerable savings in ammunition. What a piece of crap. ()
