El teniente de la policía Nyman es brutalmente asesinado en un hospital de Estocolmo. Martin Beck y sus colegas inician la investigación del caso. Nyman era un policía brutal que recibió muchas quejas por su dureza. Particularmente interesante es la denuncia de Åke Eriksson, cuya esposa murió bajo custodia policial, debido a Nyman. Eriksson se sube a un tejado en el centro de Estocolmo y empieza a disparar sembrando el pánico entre los transeúntes. (A Contracorriente Films)

Now that's what I call a well-made whodunit. And a pretty apt ending, too. The subject itself has something to it. The brutal scene in the hospital, which starts the sequence of events, will probably stay in my memory for a long time, thanks to the excellent work with suspense. Although it is basically a routine investigation, the story never gets boring, and even the last, significantly more action-packed third of the movie feels very realistic and authentic. I also really like the portrayal of the police officers as ordinary flesh-and-blood people, because obviously none of them are the intrepid and savvy James Bond-style superheroes. (80%)
