Mientras la guerra se desata en el Imperio Otomano, Hussein educa a Lobo, su hermano casi adolescente, en una comunidad beduina tradicional y aislada. Una noche, la tranquila existencia de ambos se verá interrumpida por la llegada de un oficial del Ejército Británico y su guía Marjie, quienes le piden a Hussein que los guíe en un viaje misterioso hasta un pozo de agua en la vieja ruta de los peregrinos. Hussein no puede negarse por temor a deshonrar la memoria del padre de ambos, el jefe de la tribu, recientemente fallecido. El grupo parte y Lobo decide seguirlos. Pronto se verán enfrentados a las inclemencias del solitario viaje, acosados por bandidos y revolucionarios. Cuando Lobo se queda solo y debe enfrentarse a sus potenciales enemigos, aprenderá rápidamente el significado de palabras como traición, responsabilidad madurez y asumirá el significado del nombre que le diera su padre: LOBO. (50th KVIFF) Beautiful cinematography, beautiful desert setting. It exudes the atmosphere of Arabia - Lawrence is impossible to forget. Theeb was a lot of fun during the first half. The wanderings in the desert of a British official and his guides while hiding from their enemies are a good premise for a tense desert adventure. Unfortunately, the film reaches its peak about half-way through, in the attack scene, and the fun decreases together with the number of characters. By the end I was bored. 65 %
