Sinopsis(1)
En un pequeño pueblo noruego, la semana laboral llega a su fin. El treintañero Martin imagina la monótona vida de los extraños que pasan por su ventana y se encaminan a sus oficinas. Entonces se mira a sí mismo. Su corriente de pensamientos le llevan a tener dudas sobre su propia vida. Embarcándose en un viaje a su interior, siente la necesidad de estar solo con la naturaleza. Tras preguntarle a su hijo cómo le ha ido el día y dormir con su mujer, coge una mochila y se aleja de su familia para adentrarse en la montaña. Pero la expedición de Martin le llevará a otras muchas dudas, incesantes pero con mucho humor, sus ansiedades, sueños, neurosis y deseos sexuales. ¿Cómo se supone que va a trabajar? ¿Cómo puede vivir como hijo, pareja y padre? Near Death Experience de hace veinte años y a lo nórdico. Igualmente abierta y honesta, pero no tan poética, consciente y deliciosamente redactada. Más bien, adecuada a la edad del personaje principal, titubeando y poco clara. De impresión más cruda y fría. Visualmente no tan interesante y creativa. Y para mí personalmente no tan cercana y simpática. De hecho, el personaje principal y sus problemas internos no despertaron mucho interés en mí.

A pleasant and precise probe into the depths of imagination, phobias and desires of a middle-aged man which, after the "Forever Young" culmination, is shot down by a slushy and increasingly self-pitying second half with several fantastic scenes, for which I would probably need a shovel to get them out of my head. It is the brutal sincerity, given by the combination of an inner monologue and the intertwining of reality and subjective perspective, that does not ultimately work in favor of the film. Even so, I appreciate the creativity and the chance to show women what is happening in my head.
